How it works

From bank export to filed return

Step 1

Import your bank

Upload a CSV from Mercury, Wise, Relay or any US bank. Duplicates are skipped and every row lands in one ledger.

Step 2

AI sorts it, you confirm

AI categorizes transactions into a US chart of accounts and flags money moving between you and the company.

Step 3

Our CPA signs and files

Send the year for review. The CPA asks questions on specific transactions, signs, and sends the return to the IRS.

FAQ

Questions founders ask us

My company had no revenue. Do I still need to file?

Usually yes. Corporations and partnerships file a federal return every year, even with no income. A single-member LLC with a non-US owner files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 even with zero revenue. A US-owned single-member LLC reports on the owner's Form 1040.

Should I start an LLC or a C-Corp?

An LLC is simpler and cheaper to run for a business you own and operate yourself. A C-Corp, usually in Delaware, is what US investors expect if you plan to raise venture money. Both file Form 5472 when they have a foreign owner. If you're unsure, book a consulting hour before you form.

Who signs and files my return?

Our partner US CPA reviews your books in Zipple, asks questions where something is unclear, signs the return and sends it to the IRS. You see each step in your dashboard.

Do I need to file a BOI report with FinCEN?

Not for an LLC formed in a US state. FinCEN's final rule, effective August 14, 2026, exempts US companies and their owners from BOI reporting.

Who pays the tax, the company or me?

It depends on how the company is taxed. Single-member LLCs, partnerships and S-Corps pass profit through to the owners' personal returns. A C-Corp pays federal corporate tax itself at 21%. The consulting hour is the place to work out which fits you.

Can I use Zipple if I live outside the US?

Yes. When a company has a foreign owner, Zipple tracks the transactions Form 5472 asks about and prepares the worksheet, and our CPA files it with the pro forma 1120.

Which banks and states do you support?

Any bank that exports CSV, including Mercury, Wise and Relay. The deadline calendar covers every state, with exact dates and fees for Delaware, Wyoming, Florida, New Mexico, Texas, California, Nevada and New York.

Who can see my data?

Only you, the Zipple team and our partner CPA. Other clients can never see your books.
