Privacy Policy
How Zipple collects, uses and protects your personal and company information.
1. Who we are
Zipple ("Zipple", "we", "us") provides company formation, bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax filing services for US companies through our website and web app. Our address is listed at the end of this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and request details you send through our forms: name, email, phone or WhatsApp, country, company name and your message.
- Account details: your email address and name when you sign in to the app.
- Company information: legal name, state, formation date, EIN, address, and owner details such as name, address, citizenship, tax residence and foreign tax ID when a filing requires them.
- Financial data: bank transactions you import, categories, balances, and messages exchanged with our team and partner CPA.
- Technical data: basic logs our hosting providers keep, such as IP address, browser type and time of access. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use it
- To provide the services you request: forming your company, keeping your books, preparing financial statements and preparing and filing returns.
- To reply to your requests and send service messages, such as deadline reminders.
- To categorize transactions and answer questions in the app with the help of AI.
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Our partner US CPA, who reviews your books and prepares, signs and files returns.
- Government agencies where a service requires it, such as the IRS and state Secretaries of State.
- Registered agents, office providers and banks, when you ask us to arrange those services for you.
- Service providers that run our platform: Netlify (website hosting and forms), Supabase (database and sign-in) and Anthropic (AI processing of transactions and questions). They process data only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities when the law requires us to disclose information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your company records, financial data and tax returns for as long as your account is open. Tax returns can't be deleted on their own. When you delete your account in the app, we delete all of it, including tax returns and uploaded documents, except anything the law requires us to keep. Requests that don't lead to an engagement are deleted after two years.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited by account: clients see only their own books, and only Zipple staff and our partner CPA can see client records. No online system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in email account protected.
7. International transfers
Our services and providers are based in the United States. If you live outside the US, your information will be processed there. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to use these rights. We'll answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell clients by email.
